The national government has issued new regulations for the operation of customs warehouses in primary customs zones.
This is established by the General Resolution 4352/2018 published this Monday (10.12.2018) in the Official Gazette.
The regulations replace General Resolution No. 3.871/2016 in relation to the procedure for authorising tax warehouses.
What criteria are updated?
The General Directorate of Customs updates the criteria to be implemented regarding the different types of bonded warehouses, define the technology applicable to the control that is most convenient based on the operational characteristics and the type of merchandise to be stored and review the procedure to follow in the event of possible non-compliance or misconduct by permit holders..
When will the measure come into effect?
The measure will come into effect on January 2, 2019., according to the regulations signed by the General Director of Customs, Diego Dávila.
