The objective of this regime is to categorize taxpayers who have not done so voluntarily or who, having done so, the agency considered that they correspond to a higher category.
The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) decided to extend until next October 5, including the due date for recategorization which had to be completed by those self-employed workers required to do so until September 20.
Due to this modification the calendar of maturities it is as follows:
- Those who need to recategorize (change their category), regardless of which one they are in, may do so until 05/10/2017
- Those who must confirm (maintain) their category F, G, H, I, J or K, will have time until 05/10/2017
- Those who must confirm (maintain) their D or E category will be able to do so until 20/10/2017
- Those who must confirm (maintain) their category B or C, may do so until 20/11/2017
- Those who must confirm (maintain) their category A will have until 20/12/2017
- This means that ALL those who are recategorized, whether they increase or decrease their category, regardless of which category they are in, have an additional 15 days. For example, a self-employed person with category A who must recategorize to B, or one with category F who wants to decrease to E, can do so until 5/10/2017.
- The deadlines corresponding to the following months are only for those who maintain (confirm) their category.
