AFIP formalizes the extension of the payment of export duties for SMEs

-

The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) extended until October 31, the benefit that enables all micro, small and medium-sized exporting companies to postpone the payment of Export Duties.

This is established by the General Resolution 4826/2020, published this Wednesday (30.09.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette. The measure allows those Companies with tax or social security debts the possibility of making use of the postponement period for the cancellation of said tax obligations.

The regulation offers financial relief for exporting SMEs with the aim of cushioning the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the productive structure. The benefit provided for in this General Resolution reaches more than 25.000 companies throughout the country. The facilities came into effect in June and, for the second time, the AFIP decided to renew them for one month.

The SMEs that benefit are those that could not access the postponement period provided for in the regulations due to tax or social security debts. The measure implemented by the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) allows these exporting companies to postpone the payment of Export Duties.

Companies that intend to access the waiting period must submit a sworn statement as a guarantee.Current regulations allow SMEs to postpone payments between 15 and 120 days, depending on the amount exported or the type of merchandise.
