The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) made official this Thursday (01.06.2017) the extension for 10 days of the deadline for the presentation of the Income Tax and Personal Property tax returns, according to the Resolution 4061/E published in the Official Gazette.

The new deadline set by AFIP for Income Tax and Personal Property Tax returns was set for June 22, replacing the initial date of June 12.

The extension was decided in response to a request from entities representing accountants, who requested an extension due to the backlog of work following the money laundering.

Likewise, the informative sworn statements that must be submitted by employees in a dependent relationship, who have obtained annual gross income in 2016 greater than $500.000, which were originally due on June 30, will now expire on July 14.

The Professional Council of Economic Sciences (CPCE) of the City of Buenos Aires had requested the AFIP to postpone by one month the deadline for submitting the data for the Personal Property and Income Tax returns, following all the changes generated by the money laundering.

In this regard, the minister recalled that Argentina has a "strong commitment to the global environmental agenda" to achieve sustainable development in areas where fishing represents a source of work for the inhabitants and a source of income for the country.

Asked about the possible withdrawal of the United States from the Paris climate agreement, Bergman played down the issue and said that "there are global commitments that go beyond what (President Donald) Trump says or decides."

The Argentine delegation sent to the Conference on the Oceans will be led by the Secretary of Environmental Policy, Climate Change and Sustainable Development, Diego Moreno.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hopes that the meeting will result in the signing of a declaration calling on participating states to take action and raising awareness among the population.

It will also pave the way towards achieving Goal 14 (conserve and sustainably use the oceans and seas) set out in the UN Sustainable Development Agenda.
