The Paraguay Customs Directorate announced this Tuesday (13.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) that it signed an agreement with the Anti-Corruption Secretariat cooperation agreement to coordinate tasks to combat corruption.
The agreement includes the exchange of information between both institutions and the implementation of the Corruption Risk Map within Customs, according to official information.
It is interesting to mention that the implementation of this technique allows for the prediction of corruption episodes in government agencies and has been designed to activate a logic of continuous improvement.
It should be remembered that Paraguay Customs is taking various measures to combat the scourge of corruption, including early access to data on cargo coming to Paraguay from China, thanks to the Cargo Information and Verification System (SIVECA), of goods brought in trucks from Uruguay and Chile with the International Customs Transit Computer System (SINTIA) and those arriving on ships with the Electronic Transmission of River Cargo Manifest System (TEMAFLU). In addition, purchase more technology, which allows for better border controls.
The agreement was signed by the National Director of Customs, Julio Fernández, and the Minister of the Anti-Corruption Secretariat, René Fernández.
