Tariff classification is a fundamental domain technique for actors involved in international trade. Consultations on this subject, generally made by operators, can be supported by customs brokers or specialized legal professionals. Such consultations are managed following the procedures established in the General Resolution No. 1.618.
Correct tariff classification is essential to optimise the international logistics chain. It guarantees the proper application of import and export duties, promoting transparency and predictability in the global trade of goods. It also ensures compliance with current regulations and reduces the risk of penalties resulting from classification errors.
