The National Customs Directorate applied new import criteria values for helmets for motorsports, according to the Common Nomenclature of MERCOSUR (NCM) 6506.10.00.
This is indicated by the General Resolution 4423/2019 published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday (19.2.2019) where it is stated that the purpose of the measure is to confront "tax evasion and combat under-invoicing practices in import operations."
From now on, goods from Asian countries such as Korea, China, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India and Indonesia, included in Group 4, will be subject to the new import criteria values as a preventive measure.
