Customs implements the “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) for foreign trade operations through general resolution 4150-E.
The foreign trade operator that chooses to request its membership as an AEO must, on the date of formalizing the request, be authorized and have a seniority equal to or greater than 3 years in the Special Customs Registry of Importer/Exporter.
On the other hand, you must have a . net equal to or greater than $1.000.000; or constitute guarantee No. less than US$100.000.
Membership of the OAS may be carried out for the following: operations:
- Import operations of goods for the realization of a production process, originating in countries with which the Argentine Republic does not have a Mutual Recognition Agreement.
- Import operations of goods originating in countries with which the Argentine Republic has a Mutual Recognition Agreement.
- Import operations carried out by an Importer/Exporter using the Residential Customs Regime.
- All export operations carried out by an Importer/Exporter.
In this regard, the General Directorate of Customs will determine which goods cannot be documented under the AEO program.
The customs agency will determine acceptance or rejection. of the application submitted and will notify its resolution through the Customs Electronic Communication and Notification System (SICNEA).
