Paraguay Customs receives donated software that enhances the Authorized Economic Operator

The National Customs Directorate of Paraguay reported that it received software donated by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) that will allow improve processes and services, promoting efficiency and transparency in AEO certification processes at all levels of international trade.

According to the statement, the software is a Comprehensive management system for OEA certification, a cutting-edge technological solution, developed and licensed by the Swedish company KGH Global Consulting.

Thus, the Paraguayan customs AEO System will achieve the full functionality  and will allow the National Customs Directorate (DNA) to have a digital management system for AEO certification in accordance with the SAFE Framework.

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a program implemented by various customs authorities around the world that aims to offer companies advantages with security standards that guarantee the reliability of their import and export processes.

The installation and use of the new software by the OEA System will optimize the management of certification and improve the Collaboration between DNA and other regional administrations participants of the Mutual Recognition Arrangement in the comprehensive management of OAS programs.

"In order to facilitate trade and ensure the security of imports and exports, the DNA has committed to modernizing its systems and adopting innovative technologies. The donation from CIPE/Alianza Global is an important step for the OAS Coordination and will allow the institution to reach higher levels of efficiency," said the statement released on Monday.

The National Customs Directorate thus thanks CIPE and the Global Alliance for their generous contribution and undertakes to make the most of this technology for the benefit of economic operators and the growth of the country.

“We are pleased to support the Paraguayan customs office, as they have demonstrated their commitment to modernizing the institution and, within this framework, their OAS program is becoming a benchmark in the region,” said Aurelio García, program director of CIPE/Alianza Global.

Paraguayan Customs announced that CIPE has been one of the three host organizations of the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, along with the International Chamber of Commerce and the World Economic Forum.
