AAEF: Proposals for Argentine Tax Reform

The Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies (AAEF) presented the book in the National Congress “Guidelines and proposals for tax reform in the Argentine Republic”, in an event headed by Dr. Horacio Della Rocca, president of the entity that brings together the thinking of the disciplines related to public finances and tax law.

In front of an audience, Horacio Della Rocca encouraged the renewal of the republican and federal commitment: “Independence is constantly practiced and is built through daily actions that we carry out as citizens. In this regard, the tax and financial issue plays a fundamental role.”

He added: “This book is a concrete contribution from our organization, which has 63 years of history, for the Legislative and Executive Branches.”

He expressed that the entire work is based on the premise of the necessary Adaptation of tax legislation to the minimum standardimo of guarantees provided for by international treaties, which protect human rights, the effective application of which cannot be postponed, both in judicial and administrative proceedings.

Rich in historical background, the text compiles various sources and statements from other entities. Among other aspects, it delves into the following topics: Review of Income Tax; New integration scheme in the tax on consumptions; and Distribution of fiscal resources in the federal system. 

A study of the wealth tax and concepts on the need for it to be developed in light of the concurrent local powers, in order to avoid double or multiple taxation phenomena, as well as undesirable economic and social effects. The treatment of public expenditure and Public debt.

The directors of the publication are doctors Angel Schindel y Alberto Tarsitano.

The presentation took place on Monday 24th, as part of the celebrations for the Bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence.
