What are Free Trade Zones?
The Free Trade Zone is a tool for foreign trade capable of providing genuine solutions to companies, entrepreneurs, producers, exporters and importers, in a differential business framework with unique characteristics, where the application of a regime with tax benefits makes investment, production, synergy and consequent generation of genuine employment very attractive.
In the country, in 1996, the Law for the Promotion of Free Trade Zones (Law 24.331) was enacted, but, according to the organization, its implementation has not yet achieved the maximum possible development, particularly with regard to the establishment of productive processes and knowledge incubators, which are those that contribute most to the GDP.
