After the opening of the high-level event, the seminar gave way to hallway meetings where authorities and private individuals discussed how to advance modernization.
And how is it coming? It is coming fruitfully. Brazil is driving an innovative transformation. The Federal Revenue has signed with ANVISA the Joint Ordinance 400/2024 to enter the Integrated OAS Program. ANVISA's participation in the program strengthens the association and integration of the health institution with other entities of the Public Administration involved in foreign trade activities, converging towards the modernization and updating of work processes in this area.

?Tribute. Celebration to commemorate Procomex’s 20th anniversary.
? Argentine participation. Jonathan Ranieri, from the Customs Process Reengineering Department of the General Directorate of Customs, presented the Customs Portal (PAD). This tool, implemented in 2023, allows interaction with third-party organizations (national and international).
This presentation of the national tool took place within the framework of the technical meetings prior to the International Seminar.
?2025 Edition. Brazil will once again host the International Seminar on the OAS, in the city of São Paulo, on March 19 and 20, 2025. This was announced on Thursday by the Executive Coordinator of Procomex, John E. Mein.

The 10th OAS International Seminar, organized by the Federal Revenue Service and the Procomex Institute, has begun. This important event, which is being held at the Renaissance Hotel in São Paulo, is attended by representatives from a large number of countries who have sold out their registrations and will fill the hotel's theater, located in the Jardim Paulista neighborhood, one of the highest regions of this Brazilian city.
The seminar entitled “OAS, Electronic Commerce and Coordinated Border Management” will be held at this summit throughout today and tomorrow.
During the event, the organization hopes to focus on the present and future challenges of foreign trade in the region.
With accreditation from 8.30 AM, activities begin at 09.
?Opening. The welcome will be in charge of the authorities: the Executive Coordinator of the Procomex Institute, John E. Mein; the Undersecretary of Customs Administration of the RFC, Claudia Regina Leão do Nacimiento Thomaz; the Secretary of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Tatiana Lacerda Prazeres; the Regional Superintendent of the 8th Fiscal Region -SP of the RFB, Marcia Meg, are some of them.
Also participating were Danitza Passamai Rojas Buvinich, Director of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA); Carlos Goulart, Secretary of Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock; and Lucas Ferraz, Secretary of International Business of the Government of the State of São Paulo.
They are joined by the Executive Secretary of the Cybersecurity Program of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism of the OAS, Alison Trepel; the Deputy Director of the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, Jose Raul Perales; and the Senior Specialist in Trade Facilitation of the World Bank, Ernani Checcucci.
Also attending were Fabio Baracat (Founder and CEO of Sinelog); Atilio Rulli (Vice President of Public Relations in Latin America at Huawei) and Eduardo Vitor (Vice President of Products for the Global Afternoon Segment at Thomson Reuters).
