-

The National Customs Directorate of Uruguay (DGA) adapted a business intelligence tool called Pentaho, to present foreign trade figures in an agile and dynamic manner to the sector's community and the general population.

Consultations on current issues

On the platform incorporated by the DGA, users will be able to make various queries, based on the processing of variables in a flexible manner, allowing for the instant analysis of large volumes of data, says theofficial statement.

In addition, data are published on three current topics such as Single Customs Document (DUA), postal parcels and Maciel access to the Port of Montevideo.

Regarding the DUA, the number of operations, the volume in weight and the amount in dollars by origin, destination and regime, among others, can be consulted.

At the same time, in the field of postal parcels, allows us to know, in particular, the movements covered by the exemption from payment of taxes dictated by current regulations.

You can also consult about the operation of the Maciel access to the Port of Montevideo, which is automated in order to minimize entry and exit times to the port area.

Where is it available?

The tool is available on the agency's website www.aduanas.gub.uy in the Statistics menu, with the names: DUA Queries, Franchise Queries and Maciel Movement Queries.
