Mercosur and the European Union (EU) reached a free trade agreement on Friday (28.06.2019) after twenty years of negotiations, reported the Argentine Secretary of Foreign Trade, Marisa Bircher.
European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker welcomed the agreement on Twitter, calling it a “historic moment.” “Amid international trade tensions, we sent a strong message that we remain committed to rules-based trade.
