Turkey has requested consultations at the World Trade Organization (WTO) with the United States (US) regarding additional import duties imposed by the US on steel and aluminum products. application was circulated to WTO Members on Monday (20.8.2018).

Türkiye claims that the measures are inconsistent with several provisions of the WTO Agreement on Safeguards and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994.
