The president of the National Service of Health and Agri-Food Quality (Senasa), Carlos Paz and the director of the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC), Marco Lavagna, held a virtual meeting in which they signed a agreement to jointly implement actions that promote mutual cooperation, the exchange of information and the development of projects of common interest.
In this regard, the authorities of both organizations agreed on a Information exchange agreement to develop an Integrated Agricultural Information System that provides official statistics and contributes to the improvement of public policies and the decision-making process of public and private agents in the activity.
Also present were the Director of Information Technology of Senasa, Héctor Bilbao, and the National Director of Planning and Institutional and International Relations of (INDEC), Mariano Poledo.
Agreement It also includes the exchange of information from the National Sanitary Registry of Agricultural Producers (RENSPA), to jointly and coordinate the development of key statistics and indicators for the sector.
Regarding these issues, officials agreed that the agreement It represents a first step in the challenge of compiling, organizing and standardizing the data scattered throughout the State., and thus enhance statistical production, safeguarding the confidentiality of individuals and companies as established by current regulations.
