The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation and the company Mercado Libre signed an agreement within the framework of the "Digital Tools Program for the Marketing of Family Agriculture", so that these producers can use the online buying and selling platform.
"This agreement allows family agriculture producers to expand the reach of their products beyond the provincial or regional territory in which they are physically established, allowing them to be purchased from any point in Argentina.", highlighted the head of the national agricultural portfolio, Luis Miguel Etchevehere.
The aim of this measure is to promote products from regional economies and to enable producers to expand their marketing channels., to establish new ties with merchants or individual consumers and to access the new expansion opportunities currently offered by Internet services and the MeLi Digital Commercial platform.

More than 2.300 family farmers grouped into cooperatives will have the opportunity to be present on the platform in the category called "Sustainable Products", allowing them to position their products and sell them through the digital platform.
The link is now available For all consumers and online users, it currently has a catalogue of more than 30 products that were validated by specialized technicians from the marketing department of the Secretariat of Family Agriculture, Coordination and Territorial Development. Some of the proposals offered are: honey in a jar, yerba mate, olive oil, preserves, brown sugar, garden seeds, fruit juices, rice, or fruit sweets in bread.
