After Spanish President Pedro Sánchez’s announcement of the National Government authorities on the reduction and elimination of withholdings on exports, the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) highlighted today (24.01.2025/XNUMX/XNUMX) that this decision will directly benefit numerous branches of productive activity.
In its statement, the CAC said: “We have repeatedly denounced that the excessive tax pressure that the country is experiencing – the result of public spending that in recent decades has reached disproportionate levels – represents a burden for companies, severely limiting the possibilities of growth and the generation of quality employment.”
The Entity also stressed that “the lack of international integration is another of the major shortcomings facing Argentina, which conspires against the use of its productive potential, deteriorates the competitiveness of companies and ends up eroding external solvency and the capacity for economic expansion.”
In the framework of its 100th anniversary, the CAC welcomed the announcement by the National Government, which it considers to be in line with other recent measures, such as the elimination of the PAIS tax. According to the institution, these actions will significantly contribute to correcting the structural problems affecting the economy.
Finally, the CAC urged to progressively deepen the reduction of the tax burden in the coming months without compromising the fiscal balance achieved. The Entity expressed its conviction that this path is key to promoting economic and social progress throughout the country.
