Argentina's tax revenues rose by 37,7 percent year-on-year in February, or 235.666 billion pesos, the Federal Public Revenue Administration announced on Friday (2.3.2018).
VAT collection had an important performance with an increase of 46,3% while VAT on local consumption also grew by 42,3%. Another relevant increase was the tax on checks (Debits and credits) 32,5% and Social Security 29,2%.
In turn, the AFIP recorded an income of $65.796 billion in social security in February, which grew by 29,2% year-on-year.
Regarding export duties, there was a growth of 424,7 and totaled $5.323 million.
The export of soybean pallets stands out, with an increase of 666,2% and a collection of $4.920 billion, according to the AFIP statement.
In January 2017, according to AFIP data, tax collection totaled 172.222 billion pesos.
Anti-tax evasion
Regarding the fight against informality, the AFIP is carrying out three actions: more inspection (it grew by $77 in quantity), more control of false invoices and more banking, which according to data from the Chamber of Credit and Debit Cards, the number of POS increased by 66% from 2016 to last year, although its use only increased operations through this means of payment by 10%.
