Peru will simplify foreign trade procedures in 2020

-

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vásquez, said this Thursday (17.12.2019) that next year his sector will implement a reform aimed at reducing the process of procedures in foreign trade, which will boost the sector and have a positive impact on the development of our exports.

"This year we will be finishing the project of the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE) 2.0, as well as the mapping of all the processes and procedures that are currently carried out. Next year we will be implementing the reform. This is very important, because we will begin to significantly reduce the procedures associated with foreign trade."He said.

According to Vasquez, only Four institutions account for 90% of the total volume of foreign trade procedures: National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa), the National Fisheries Health Agency (Sanipes), the General Directorate of Environmental Health (Digesa) and the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies and Drugs (Digemid).

"If we focus on simplifying these procedures in these four institutions, we will have a very positive impact on the paperwork associated with foreign trade."He said.
