The foreign ministers of Paraguay and Brazil held a bilateral meeting in Brasilia on Monday (09.09.2019), where they discussed issues on the common agenda, such as the works initiated for integration and the negotiations for an automotive agreement.
This is the first official trip for Foreign Minister Antonio Rivas Palacios, who took office at the end of July.

Paraguay aims to consolidate its position as an efficient link in industrial chains to make the automotive industry competitive in regional and international markets, the Paraguayan Foreign Ministry reported.
Another point discussed in the meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araújo revolved around the cFight against smuggling and organized crime, which operate mainly in border areas.
The minister's agenda also included an afternoon meeting with executives of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) of Brazil.
