12% increase in grain transport made official

The Ministry of Transport announced the new rates depending on the distance to be travelled. The increase was agreed upon at the beginning of February during the protest.

Through Provision 9/2018, published this Monday (19.2.2018) in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Transport made official the average increase of 12% for the reference rate for the transport of cereals, oilseeds, related products, by-products and derivatives.

The update was given within the framework of the Grain transporters protestwhich took place at the beginning of February and culminated with the convening of the Participatory Negotiation Table on the 8th, when an increase in the reference rate was agreed upon, which includes costs from August 2017 to January 2018 inclusive.

Tariff table

  1. Distances not exceeding 10 kilometers The indicative price will be $123,62 per ton.
  2. In the case of a freight of up to 100 kilometers, the rate will be $345,63 per ton.
  3. And for a distance of 1.000 kilometers, the value will reach the $1.247,21 per ton
