The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) extended the tax holiday until May 24 inclusive, which means the Extension of all procedural deadlines in tax, customs and social security matters.
The measure was made official through the General Resolution 4713/2020, announced this Tuesday (12.05.2020) in the Official Gazette.
The regulations establish that during the period of mandatory preventive social isolation, extended by the national government, the suspension of the calculation of the current deadlines for taxpayers in different administrative procedures will continue.
The AFIP pointed out that "The decision does not imply any modification or extension of tax due dates."
The agency specified that "during the period defined in this resolution, the actions of the AFIP will not be suspended. However, during its validity, the calculation of the deadlines that govern the response of taxpayers to the requests of the agency will be suspended."
He added: "Although the validity of the procedural deadlines is suspended during the tax holiday, the resolution enables AFIP to continue with the audit procedures that are carried out based on the information provided by the OECD on Argentine accounts abroad."
"The regulations provide for the possibility of moving forward with these processes because they are of institutional importance and compromise fiscal interest within the framework of the current emergency context," he said.
