In order to promote compliance with the necessary requirements for adhesion and permanence in the "Authorized Economic Operator" (AEO) program, the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) extended the deadline for importers or exporters categorized as OAS-SECURITY.
The Agency decided to extend it for another year through the General Resolution 5299/2022, published today (07.12.2022) in the Official Gazette.
"Extend until November 29, 2023, inclusive, the term of article 18 of General Resolution No. 5.107, for compliance, by the affected operators, with the requirements established in Annex II of the aforementioned standard", says the official text.
The DGA reminds that the Authorized Economic Operator is a program implemented through the issuance of General Resolution 5107 of 2021, in accordance with the principles and standards established in the Regulatory Framework for Securing and Facilitating Global Trade (SAFE) of the World Customs Organization (WCO).
It also clarifies that “operators who meet the requirements established in these regulations can access important benefits that allow them to optimize the management of their foreign trade operations, thus contributing to the security of the international logistics chain.”
