In front of numerous Argentine businessmen, gathered on the second day of the Argentina Exporta 2019 Forum, Faurie said that "theThe task of diplomats is to open doors" and praised the commercial intelligence that the Foreign Ministry provides to exporters.

"The task of diplomats is to open doors, secure places to place their products, remove barriers, help them reach ports, help them find an importer, help them be in the shop windows and on the shelves of the countries we are representing."said Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie on Friday (24.5.2019) to numerous Argentine exporting businessmen, who gathered within the framework of the Argentina Exporta 2019 Forum.

On the second day of the Forum inaugurated yesterday by President Mauricio Macri, Faurie assured Argentine businessmen that ““The embassies are there to help them reach other markets” and that “we feel proud when we manage to place an Argentine product in a new market. Going international and exporting is fundamental: when a company exports, its market becomes the entire world. Thus, we are alert to what the world buys and improve all processes.“Faurie added.

«We have 159 representations abroad: embassies, general consulates, and trade promotion centers. It is like a large multinational services company, which gives an idea of the parameters of each market." stressed the head of Argentine diplomacy.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepares more than 50 market studies per month. Together with the Investment and Trade Agency, we carry out commercial intelligence, providing information so that Argentine products have a better reception."He explained.

The Forum, promoted by the Export Board and organized by the National Government, brings together experts, companies and entrepreneurs for two days with the aim of promoting the export sector and the international insertion of SMEs.

Finally, he stressed: “Tomorrow is May 25th. 209 years ago, our ancestors dared to dream big. Each one of us, from our place - and working as a team - let's continue that legacy.
