Argentina and Paraguay hope that this border crossing will serve to boost economic, commercial and tourist development in both Misiones and Corrientes.
According to the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs last March, the authorization of international traffic over the Yacyretá binational dam will provide a concrete response to the aspirations of the inhabitants of that area of the border between the two countries.
