Beef exports totaled 96.000 tons during the month of October, marking a new historical record by surpassing the records of September, reported Rosgan Mercado Ganadero SA on Monday (25.11.2019/XNUMX/XNUMX).

Shipments to China, the entity's weekly report indicated, represented more than 80% of total shipments, which reached ""its highest level of participation since the outbreak of swine flu."

«With only two months left in the year, It is possible to project an annual export volume of more than 800 thousand tons."Rosgan said.

On the other hand, the report anticipated that in the local market "livestock prices would rise, due to the lack of supply expected for the summer."

The Livestock Market cites forecasts made by the Federation of Refrigeration Industries of the Argentine Republic (Fifra), according to which between December and the first months of 2020 "there would be a price update that could reach up to 40%."

The Rosgan report concluded that "this restructuring is necessary for the business to be viable."
