Car transfers will be online starting in December

-

People interested in selling a car will be able to process the Certificate of Transfer of Motor Vehicles (CETA) without a tax code starting on Monday (3.12.2018).

This was established by the AFIP through General Resolution 4345, which will be published this Friday in the Official Gazette and which details the conditions for completing this procedure on the agency's website, which previously had to be done with a tax code.

The CETA is a mandatory document whenever the sales value of the vehicle is equal to or greater than $100.000.

The car transfer will be online. In this way, people interested in selling a car will not have to take a physical proof of CETA to the national registry of motor vehicle ownership, since the latter will receive an online copy of the procedure carried out before the AFIP.

The CETA can be obtained on the official AFIP website. It will be easy, free and, above all, safe, says the entity.

In addition, there is no need for intermediaries or agents. It is worth remembering that providing the tax code to strangers puts taxpayers at risk.

Through this measure, the AFIP seeks to ensure that more and more operations can be carried out digitally.
