La balance of trade recorded a surplus of USD 414 million in September, according to a report by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) on Thursday (20.10.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX).
However, this positive balance implies a smaller proportion than the USD 1.685 million in favor that had been observed in the same month of 2021.
According to Indec, trade (exports plus imports) increased by 7,0% compared to the same month last year.
The exports Totals amounted to USD 7.407 million and fell 2,2% compared to September 2021. In nine months, they totaled USD 67.131 million and improved 15,2% compared to the same period last year.

Regarding segments, Indec revealed that prices for primary products rose 9% and quantities fell 16,4%.
Manufactures of Agricultural Origin (MOA) enjoyed a 15% increase in prices, but volume fell by 23,1%.
Meanwhile, Industrial Manufactures (MOI) registered increases of 5,3% in prices and 7,8% in volume. In fuels and energy, there was a 27,8% increase in prices and a 5,6% decrease in quantities.
The importsOverall, prices rose by 10,5%, while the volume purchased increased by 7,6%.
Once again, the highest incidence was observed in the energy sector, where prices increased by 91,5% in a context in which the volume acquired was reduced by 8,3%.
In Capital Goods, prices rose by 3,5%, while quantities grew by 10,7%. Intermediate goods saw a price increase of 16% but volume fell by 9,7%.
In Consumer Goods, values increased by 11,6% and quantities decreased by 3,2%.

In relation to the main trading partners, Argentina registered deficit with the three main ones. Namely: Facing China reached USD 555 million (exports for USD 1.063 million and imports for USD 1.628 million).
