AFIP seized 1000 kilos of marijuana in Formosa

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) seized around 1000 kilos of marijuana hidden in a truck trying to enter the country from ParaguayThe operation was detected by personnel from the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) in the town of Clorinda, in Formosa. 
 
The identified packages were hidden in a vehicle transporting white rice to ChileThe presence of the narcotics in the base of the truck's semi-trailer was detected by one of the AFIP dogs and its trainer.
 
Then with the Mobile scanner confirmed the presence of hidden merchandise and when dismantling the structure of the truck he verified that in a double bottom it carried 1121 packages of marijuana, with a total weight of 994,85 kilos. 
 
The Customs Office prepared the corresponding proceedings for attempted drug smuggling and the Federal Court No. 1 of Formosa intervened. The driver of the vehicle was detained at the disposal of the Federal Prosecutor's Office No. 1 of Formosa.
