-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration has ordered the General Director of Customs to sign the Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) related to the “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) program.

This is established by the Provision 382-E/2017, published this Friday (22.12.2017), with the aim of to improve the actions of the Administration and speed up decision-making.

Mutual Recognition Agreements are those that, on the one hand, allow customs to establish bilateral flows with high standards of security and predictability, and on the other, provide AEO operators with equivalent benefits that improve their competitiveness compared to other actors not affiliated with the AEO program.

In Latin America, economies such as Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Brazil already have OAS programs implemented.
