The head of Customs, Guillermo Michel, delivered this categorization to the firm on December 20 during his visit to the facilities located in Virrey del Pino, La Matanza district.

OAS Program

The OAS program has its origin in the guidelines established within the SAFE Framework of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the commitment made in the Trade Facilitation Agreement (WTO), with the aim of ensuring and facilitating global trade.

With the OEA – Security certification, the company will have the benefits of streamlining and prioritizing the foreign trade logistics chain, positioning itself internationally, through the signing of Mutual Recognition Agreements, as reliable and secure operators.

Applications to join the Authorized Economic Operator Program are free and voluntary. All foreign trade operators or members of the international supply chain who comply with customs, tax and social security obligations and who have a system of training and implementation of merchandise security measures and logistics chain integrity are admitted.

Certified operators

Currently, according to Customs, there are 40 operators and assistants who are part of the foreign trade logistics chain who are processing their application for inclusion in the program in the different categories provided for by the regulations - Security, Simplification and Compliance - and so far they have achieved their category as OEA-Security a total of 6 operators, 40 operators achieved it with OEA-Simplification, and 27 operators OEA-Compliance.

As part of the benefits contemplated by the program, the first pilot test for the implementation of operational benefits at the border was carried out in the Integrated Control Area (ACI) Santo Tomé – Sao Borja, reported the General Directorate of Customs.
