The National Executive Branch determined that for import operations the payment of the statistical rate of 2,5% must be made until December 31, 2019.
This is established by the decree 332 / 2019 Published in the Official Gazette this Monday (6.5.2019) with the signature of President Mauricio Macri, the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Marcos Peña and the Minister of Finance, Nicolás Dujovne.
The regulations state that "establishes, until December 31, 2019, at two point five percent (2,5%), the rate of the statistics tax contemplated in article 762 of Law No. 22.415 (Customs Code) and its amendments, which will be applicable to definitive import destinations for consumption and to temporary import suspension destinations«.
Furthermore, it states that the amount of the statistics fee may not exceed the maximum amounts established in the following Annex:
According to the text, the measure will come into effect from May 7th 2019.
