The Government implements the operational guidelines for the systemic generation of the Import Cargo Manifest (MANI SIM) for the air route, through the General resolution 4517/2019.
The regulations, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette, say: «The operational guidelines applicable to the systemic generation of the Import Cargo Manifest (MANI SIM) for air freight are established through the information transmitted by means of the Advance Information Module of the General Cargo Manifest provided for in General Resolution No. 3.596«.
The measure is part of the World Customs Organization's (WCO) Framework for Securing and Facilitating Global Trade (SAFE) to harmonize requirements for advance information on cargo movements, to facilitate trade and increase certainty and predictability in the international logistics chain.
In this regard, the regulations aim to reduce the costs and time required to export and import goods, focusing their initiatives on the implementation of measures aimed at simplifying documentary requirements, as well as modernizing and harmonizing customs procedures, the official text states.
It is indicated that its implementation will be published on the “Import Cargo Manifests” microsite of the website of this Federal Administration (http://www.afip.gob.ar) and its application is immediate.
