For the first time, a total of 32 polypropylene containers valued at US$ 980.000 were exported to Brazil from the Port of La Plata, through the new container terminal that was opened in that jurisdiction.
Officials from the General Directorate of Customs played an active role in the control of this merchandise.
The operation was carried out through a three-year agreement signed between the Tecplata SA terminal, located in the Port of La Plata, and the LOG-IN MERCOSUR maritime company.
The agreement, considered a historic event for the region, establishes scheduled arrivals every 15 days to the Tecplata terminal.
The event was attended by national, provincial and municipal political authorities, public and private organizations; the Customs Office was represented by the Deputy Director of Metropolitan Customs Operations, Javier Zabaljauregui.
