Heavy snow and freezing cold have disrupted much of Britain's transport network, with more than 200 trains and more than 60 flights cancelled.
The authorities have also warned that delays on the roads across most of the UK by midweek.

More than 200 Greater Anglia trains were forced to cancel operations on Monday (26.2.2018). Great Northern, meanwhile, announced a major reduction in services on Tuesday (27.2.2018).

For this Tuesday, an amber warning has been issued, indicating a possible danger to life, in the north, central, eastern and south-east of England. In many parts of Scotland, warnings are in place for Wednesday and Thursday.
The Met Office has forecast that more than 20cm of snow could cover parts of eastern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland by Wednesday.
Snow, gale force winds and hail are possible on Thursday as Storm Emma is battering the country. Temperatures in some parts could drop to minus 15 degrees Celsius.
