The National manufacturers will have until March 31, 2019 to request the benefit of this Regime, for sales of capital goods completed up to December 31, 2018.

In addition, manufacturers of goods included in the Regime will be able to access a "transferable tax credit voucher, equivalent to a percentage of sales made."

According to Decree 229 / 2018, published on Monday (19.03.2018) in the Official Gazette, "the bonus may be applied to the payment of national taxes".

It is clarified that manufacturers of goods that enjoy the treatment provided for within the framework of the Argentine Auto Parts Development and Strengthening Regime, created by Law No. 27.263, will not be able to benefit from the incentive provided for in the decree.

The Executive Branch highlighted that the Regime aims to "improve the competitiveness of the local capital goods producing industry, so that it can participate on equitable terms in the provision of such goods, thus promoting their national manufacture."

The capital goods industry is a strategic sector for economic development and, as a supplier to all production chains, its technical progress has a positive impact on the competitiveness of the country's economy," the regulation states.
