The President of the Nation, Mauricio Macri, and the Minister of Production and Labor, Dante Sica, presented this Wednesday (28.11.2019/XNUMX/XNUMX) the results of the coordinated work of the Argentina Exporta Plan and the Export Board, among which the growth in sales to different regions of the world was highlighted.

"We achieved four consecutive years of sustained growth in our sales to the world. Exports went from falling at 8% annually to growing at 2,5% annually.", said Sica and analyzed that foreign sales "dThey must be the driving force of Argentina's growth for the coming decades«.

The minister stressed that "Argentina has established the guidelines that lay the foundations for sustainable development and a clear path to advance towards a modern economy, integrated into the world, with an efficient State and building solid foundations for the generation of genuine work."

«It is up to all of you not to interrupt this process that is gaining speed and that cost a lot to get this going again.", said President Macri in front of businessmen and representatives of chambers of the export sector, at the Presidential Residence in Olivos.

Also present were the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Culture, Jorge Faurie, of Transport, Guillermo Dietrich, and of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Luis Miguel Etchevehere.

Public-private dialogue

The Export Board is the backbone of the Argentina Exporta plan, in which the central guidelines of the country's export strategy were established, together with the sectoral chambers and business sectors. The coordinated work between 21 private sector organizations and 24 public institutions has already resulted in 66 projects initiated, of which 31 have already been successfully completed and the remaining 35 will continue in progress.

Representatives of the Chamber of Exporters of the Argentine Republic (CERA), the Federation of Foreign Trade Chambers (Fecacera), the Customs Brokers Center, UIA, Copal, Adimra, CAC and CAME, Argencon, the banking associations Adeba and ABA and the representative centers of agriculture, among other entities and exporting companies, participated.

Among the goals achieved by the Export Board, the creation of the Foreign Trade Single Window (VUCE) and the VUCE Information Center (CI.VUCE) to make all foreign trade information transparent.

Also the launch of Exporta Simple, a tool for entrepreneurs and SMEs can sell abroad using a computer and without additional paperwork. Since its launch in 2018, more than 1.500 SMEs from all regions of the country have carried out more than 9.000 transactions.

In addition, the simplification of the main international trade regimes: Generalized System of Preferences, Temporary Importation and Large Investment Projects.

During the meeting the agreement was highlighted MERCOSUR-EU and the MERCOSUR-EFTA agreement.
