The national government exempts imports from and to the special customs territory of Tierra del Fuego from the processing of Import Licenses, through the 13 / 2020 resolution.
The measure of the Ministry of Productive Development, published this Thursday (13.92.2020) in the Official Gazette, is based on the declaration of economic emergency issued by the government of that province in order to facilitate, consequently, the flow of commercial transactions between the continent and Tierra del Fuego.
The official text states: "The provisions of this resolution shall not apply to definitive imports for consumption carried out within the framework of the sample, donation and diplomatic exemption regimes, as well as in the case of imports of merchandise with exemptions from duties and taxes, merchandise entered under the Courier or postal shipment regime, to import operations of goods covered by the Import Regime for inputs intended for scientific-technological research."
The resolution clarifies that "the measure will apply to the import operations of goods into the territory of the Special Customs Area of the Great Island of Tierra del Fuego, included in the Province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Arlantic Islands."
The provisions, signed by the Secretary of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management, Ariel Esteban Schale, come into force immediately.
