Government clarified the deadline for payment of withholdings for some agricultural products

-

The National Government made clarifications in Annexes I and II of Resolution 128/2019 in order to avoid uncertainties regarding the deadline for payment of export duties on agricultural products, through the Resolution 152/2020.

The measure responds to the fact that, as various changes were established regarding the payment term in Decree 230 of March 4, 2020, several Tariff positions have become imprecise

Thus, the regulations published on Tuesday (21.07.2020) in the Official Gazette, provided that the payment of export duties for products identified in the Annex II must be made within five (5) days business from the respective registration of the Foreign Sales Affidavit (DJVE) for at least ninety percent of the declared quantity of merchandise.

The Government also clarified that the payment of export duties on peas, chickpeas, lentils, beans, among other goods detailed in the aforementioned Annex I of the regulations, must be carried out within the fifteen days after registration of boarding completion.

The provisions of the official resolution have been in force since July 22, 2020.
