The governments of France and Panama held a meeting on Monday (09.09.2019) to establish mechanisms to facilitate the exchange of information in the fight against piracy, cigarette smuggling and money laundering, the National Customs Authority reported.
Present at the meeting on behalf of the French Embassy were Cedrid Moello, Deputy Customs Officer, and Nicolás Chiellino, Regional Customs Attaché, on behalf of the National Customs Authority, the General Director, Tayra I. Barsallo; the Technical Deputy Director, Rodolfo Samuda, among other executives.
Panama, as a transit country for goods, plays a very important role in the exchange of information. This is why France is interested in developing a joint project that includes ongoing training for its employees.
