“We will export strawberries to the most demanding market in the world”: Manzur

-

Following Argentina's re-entry into the United States' General System of Preferences (GSP), Tucumán strawberries will be able to enter the "most demanding market in the world."

This was stated by the governor, Juan Manzur, who explained that the country's incorporation into the SGP implies benefits for regional economies and, particularly, for the sector of the Tucuman strawberry that, dSince 2012, I have not been able to enter that destination.

According to the President, “this represents hundreds of thousands of jobs and will allow productive hectares to be recovered," he said.

Manzur said that strawberry farming is labor intensive: “Everything is done by hand. This requires a lot of work… – the measure – will have a positive impact because this decision by the US government will allow us to renew hope for more work.
