The governments of the United States, Mexico and Canada signed tomorrow (30.11.2018), during the G20 leaders summit, the free trade agreement called T-MEC that will update and give continuity to NAFTA, the agreement that governed trade between the three countries since 1994.

Saturday, September 30 and after the legal review of the texts of the agreement, it was decided to sign it on the occasion of the Buenos Aires summit.

It is the first trade agreement to incorporate elements to address the social impact of international trade, as the participation of more sectors of the economy expands the protection of workers' rights, strengthens environmental protection and includes a review clause that will facilitate its constant updating.

Presidents Donald Trump of the United States, Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico, and Justin Trudeau of Canada, take part in the opening of the G20 leaders' debate sessions in Buenos Aires.
