The use of masks is mandatory for external persons entering the Port of Buenos Aires

The General Port Administration ordered the use of protective elements covering the nose, mouth and chin "for all persons outside" the port of Buenos Aires, and established a prevention protocol for personnel due to the coronavirus pandemic«.

La Provision 48/2020 published this Saturday in the Official Gazette establishes "the mandatory use of personal protective equipment that covers the nose, mouth and chin, properly adjusted, for any external person who must enter or remain in closed premises or offices open to the public of companies and/or Customs offices, throughout the jurisdictional area of ​​the Port of Buenos Aires."

A prevention protocol was also published "to reduce the transmission of the virus as much as possible", with recommendations for port personnel.

The aim is to take extreme care to maintain an appropriate social distance of at least 1,5 metres between people, and to implement personal protection measures for its own employees that are considered appropriate by the medical services of the respective companies, depending on the interaction with the external public, or between its own employees, or with external transporters and/or ship crews.

I also know recommends keeping alcohol gel dispensers and hand hygiene items in bathrooms, in all areas that external public is received by the companies.
