The CITA 2022 awards were presented, a recognition of innovation in agriculture

More than twenty national projects were distinguished and mentioned in the fifteenth edition of the "International Center for Innovation in Agricultural Technology" (CITA) Award, an initiative that the Argentine Rural Society (SRA), the Rural Fairgrounds of Buenos Aires, the Argentine Chamber of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAFMA) and the CHACRA Media Platform, have maintained since 2003 to promote the national innovative culture and technology-based ventures in agriculture, livestock and agroindustry.

The company Piersanti He took the gold award (the most voted award) for its product, a grouper, windrower and row inverter that introduces technological innovations to maximize crop yield. In this way, according to CITA's evaluation criteria, innovation allows for an increase in the productivity of the systems and the reduction of production costs, as well as environmental sustainability, safety and health of the people involved in the production processes.

The Cordoba company Piersanti received the 2022 CITA Gold Award.

At the meeting held on Monday (25.07.2022) at the Rural de Palermo Fairgrounds, the start of the awards ceremony and welcome was led by the president of CITA SA and general director of The New Farm Company / CHACRA Magazine and CHACRA TV.

Later, Nicolás Pino, president of the Argentine Rural Society, Eduardo Borri, president of CAFMA, the Argentine Chamber of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers, and the general director of LA RURAL SA, Lic. Claudio DowdalL, spoke.

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Julián Domínguez, at the 15th edition of the CITA Awards ceremony.

The CITA 2022 Committee of Experts, which acts as an evaluation jury, was made up of prominent representatives of the following organizations and institutions:

· INTA – National Institute of Agricultural Technology

· CEDEF FOUNDATION

· ARGENTINE RURAL SOCIETY

With extensive experience and vast knowledge on the subject, they were in charge of completely independently evaluating the innovations that deserve to receive an award for the creativity of development and the benefits that it brings to agricultural production systems.
