The Ministry of Foreign Affairs put into effect three economic complementation agreements at the Mercosur level, which establish a Reduction of intra-zone tariffs for the import of inputs for the manufacture of herbicides and synthetic fibres, through its publication this Wednesday (22.04.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette.
The three multilateral instruments for tariff reduction measures requested by Argentina were agreed upon on March 4 at a meeting held in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo.
In all cases, The tariffs to be applied are 2% on the FOB rate of merchandise imported from outside the zone.
These are the chemical compounds used to manufacture pesticides and herbicides, monoisopropylamine and its salts, with a quota of 26.282 tonnes; and dimethylamine, with a limit of 6.000 tonnes, in both cases for a period of six months.
In addition, a reduction was approved for the entry of 600 tons of non-textured bicomponent elastic polyester filament, called elastomultiester, a synthetic fiber used in the textile industry.
