Tax collection increased by 51,3% and reached $357.362 million

Tax revenues grew by 51,3% in April year-on-year, totaling $357.362,3 million.

This was reported on Thursday afternoon (2.5.2019) by the head of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), Leonardo Cucciolli. 

The highest figures in the series were reached for net VAT and export duties. In addition, the collection target for the month was exceeded.

VAT grew in net terms 41,9% and raised $117.200 billion; in particular, VAT increased by 55% and Customs by 16,5%. The increase in the distribution of payment plans and the tax on digital services had a favorable impact.

In Earnings, the increase was 75%, with revenues of $72.783 million; last month the fifth advance payment of Personal Income Tax for the fiscal period 2018 was received, which, last year, had been received in March. In addition, the fiscal revaluation added revenue.

In foreign trade, there was an increase in 95,7% last month. In particular, the export duties They uploaded the 171,3% and Import Duties el 10,7%In the case of withholdings, the result was favoured by the rise in the exchange rate and by the additional export duty. In the case of imports, the exchange rate contributed, while the fall in imports prevented a higher result.

The tax on credits and debits in current account showed an increase of 55,1%, with revenues of $23.686,7 million. There were the same number of days of liquidation of this tax as in April 2018.

In Social Securitythe overall increase was 33,7%; employer contributions grew by 42,9% and personal contributions by 38,6%.
The tax on personal property grew by 113%, with a collection of 
$1172,8 million.

In fuels, the increase was 50,4%, with revenues of $13.501,6 million.

The percentage change was close to the inflation accumulated over the 12 months. In March, tax revenues had increased by only 37,3%.
