The Quilmes court seized property and vessels belonging to an economic group linked to security companies accused of the crime of evading pensions for $15 million pesos, following an investigation by the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP). In addition, it ordered the seizure of 33 high-end vehicles and motorcycles.
The scheme consisted of concealing the identity of the true owners of the companies through third parties, who appeared as employers and managers of the companies.
In total, more than 200 employees of security companies were declared irregularly under different hiring methods., such as part-time work and trial periods. In addition, they were given lower wages than declared and used various financial maneuvers to avoid paying the corresponding pension contributions.
The Federal Court of Quilmes, headed by Dr. Luis Armella, and Secretariat No. 2, headed by Dr. Pablo Wilk, determined that the investigated firms lacked valuable registrable assets, while the real responsible parties did possess movable assets of significant economic value.
