The national Government made official the COVID-19-Ministry of Health application for mandatory use for people entering the country, through the Administrative Decision 432/2020.
The measure was published this Tuesday (24.03.2020) in the Official Gazette, with the signature of the Chief of Staff, Santiago Andrés Cafiero and the Minister of Health, Ginés Mario González García.
The application is aimed at "Any person who has entered the country in the last fourteen (14) days, and for those who do so in the future", the text states. And it is clear that it can be installed on phones with Android operating system, free of charge from the official Android and iOS application stores, or in its web version, accessible through https://argentina.gob.ar/coronavirus/app
The official text clarifies that in the case of minors or people with different disabilities that prevent the use of the application "It will be the father, mother or guardian in charge who must complete the required data on their behalf."
For its part, the National Migration It is the body authorized to require travelers returning from abroad, prior to entering the country, “to join this application or, failing that, to the website, and to inform them of the terms and conditions of use thereof.”
In the event that travelers are unable to complete their data “for technical reasons” upon entering the national territory, The application must be completed within 12 hours of such entry.
People who have entered the country before this regulation came into force, during the last 14 days, are invited to download the app as soon as possible.
Once downloaded, you must keep it installed and active for a minimum period of 14 calendar days from its activation.
In this way, Migrations will be able to collect the data that arises through the aforementioned application.
The text explains that the measure is for the purposes of identifying, monitoring and controlling the cases referred to in Article 7 of Decree No. 260/20 related to the Mandatory isolation and preventive actions.
