Cordoba: Customs checkpoint opened in Rio Cuarto

-

The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) has authorized the installation of a customs checkpoint in the city of Río Cuarto, province of Córdoba.

This new office will be used to handle foreign trade operations in various towns in the Cordoba region such as Alejandro Roca, Coronel Baigorria and Adelia María, according to the newspaper La Voz del Interior.

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) confirmed this authorization to this media and justified the decision by stating that this southern region of the province is a very strong international trade region, both in exports and imports.

Peanuts, soybeans, corn, oil, chickens and balanced foods are the most exported goods from the area.

Concept of customs clearance

A customs clearance is a administrative and operational headquarters of the DGA, where most export and import procedures can be managed.
The headquarters of the Río Cuarto customs guard will be in the Afip-DGI building, located at Avenida San Martín 137, in that city, and the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), the General Customs Directorate (DGA), the General Tax Directorate (DGI) and the General Directorate of Social Security Resources (DGRSS) will operate there jointly.

Two customs offices in Cordoba

The Province has two customs offices, the one in Cordoba and of General Deheza; both depend on the Central Regional Customs Directorate, which covers the southern departments of the province.

The General Deheza Customs Office is one of the fastest growing in recent years, with an export volume exceeding one billion dollars and more than 16 thousand operations.
